Gender, Protection & Respect
RRUSA places gender equality, protection, and respect at the core of all operations. We implement survivor-centered, age-appropriate, and disability-inclusive protection mechanisms addressing gender-based violence (GBV), child protection, and psychosocial distress. Our programs include safe spaces, case management, legal aid, awareness campaigns, and capacity strengthening for local protection systems. Simultaneously, we work to transform harmful gender norms through economic empowerment, girls’ education, and men’s engagement programs. In humanitarian settings, we ensure that distributions, registration, and service delivery are accessible, safe, and dignified for women, girls, persons with disabilities, and other at-risk groups. By integrating protection across all sectors from WASH to livelihoods, we institutionalize respect and accountability, promoting environments where everyone can thrive.
