Recognizing the deep links between environmental degradation, resource scarcity, conflict, and displacement, RRUSA integrates climate action across our humanitarian and development portfolio. We support community-led disaster risk reduction, ecosystem restoration, renewable energy solutions, and climate-resilient agriculture and WASH systems. Our programs address drivers of conflict by promoting equitable access to natural resources, supporting early warning systems, and building local capacities for climate adaptation. We also work to reduce the environmental footprint of our own humanitarian operations. By treating climate resilience as a peacebuilding and development necessity, we help communities break the cycle of climate vulnerability, displacement, and violence.
